FAQ — Everything You Want to Know
What documents do I need to travel to Albania?
For EU citizens, a valid national ID card is enough. No passport, no visa. Albania is not part of the EU but has a visa-exemption regime for stays of up to 90 days.
How do I receive my quote?
Fill in the form here on the website or write to us on WhatsApp (Mario: +39 351 481 6739, our Italian-speaking secretary at the clinic). We need a recent 2D panoramic X-ray and some information about your mouth. Within 24-48 hours we send you a detailed quote.
How many trips to Albania do I need?
Implants require 2 trips: the first for surgery (1-5 days), the second after 4 months for the final crowns (3-6 days). For veneers or aesthetics on natural teeth, a single trip is enough. For orthodontics (aligners, braces), check-ups are done online between visits.
Are transport, hotel and flights included?
Theprivate driver is always included (airport-clinic-hotel transfers). Hotel: €45/night at our partner rate, free on the first trip if the quote is over €4,000. Flight: free on the first trip if the quote is over €5,000. For full arches (both jaws) hotel + flight are always included.
What guarantees does Lela Dental offer?
10 years on the implant, 5 years on the crown/prosthesis. A written guarantee handed to the client, valid throughout Europe. For every implant placed we issue a dental passport with the brand, batch number and placement date.
What happens if I have problems once back home?
For problems covered by the guarantee we organise a free check-up trip. For local emergencies we have partner dentists in Italy who carry out quick check-ups at a token cost. We always remain available via WhatsApp/email for any post-treatment questions.
How do I pay? Can I pay in instalments?
Payment in 2 instalments: a deposit on the first trip (surgery) and the balance on the second trip (crowns). Payment at the clinic by card or bank transfer. For amounts over €5,000, bank financing up to 36 months at a reduced rate is available.
Do I have to pay anything for the quote?
No, the quote is completely free. The preliminary video consultation with Dr. Felix Lela (for complex cases) is also free.
Why does it cost so much less in Albania?
Three reasons: labour costs are much lower (Albanian dentists earn lower salaries), in-house dental laboratories at the clinic (no middlemen), taxes and rents are lower. The quality of materials and protocols is identical to Italy.
Do the dentists speak Italian?
Yes. Dr. Felix Lela speaks fluent Italian and personally follows Italian cases. Our secretary Mario is Italian and assists you before, during and after your trip. Direct communication, no misunderstandings.
