What the Implant Costs and What the Crown Costs

The dental implant and the crown are two separate elements: the screw is placed today, the crown is fitted 4 months later (once the bone has integrated). That is why serious quotes show them separately.

Real savings vs Italy

How Much You Save Compared to Italian Prices

For the same implant brand and crown quality, in Albania you pay a third. The difference comes from labour and dental laboratory costs, not the quality of materials.

ItemItaly Price (average)Albania PriceSavings
Dental implant (screw + abutment)1.200 – 1.800 €480 €−68%
Ceramic Alloy Crown500 – 800 €110 €−80%
Zirconia Crown700 – 1.200 €180 €−80%
Ceramic Veneer700 – 1.200 €250 €−72%
Even including flight + 3 hotel nights (€350-500 on average), the net saving compared to Italy remains between 60% and 75% depending on the treatment.
Frequently asked questions

FAQ on Dental Implant Costs

Why are implant and crown paid separately?

Because they are two separate procedures at two different times. The implant (screw + abutment) is placed today and needs 4 months of osseointegration. The crown is fitted only afterwards, once the bone has integrated. Showing them separately lets you know exactly what you are paying for.

What do the €480 for the implant include?

The European gold-grade titanium screw, the abutment to secure the crown, the 3D CT assessment, anaesthesia, the surgery and post-operative check-ups. It is the “complete” cost of the surgical part. It does not include the crown.

Is a ceramic or zirconia crown better?

For posterior molars (where chewing matters, not aesthetics), metal-ceramic is ideal: it lasts 8-12 years and costs €110. For front teeth and premolars (where aesthetics matter), Zirconia is the right choice: €180 per crown, lasts 15-20 years and looks indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Can ceramic and zirconia be mixed?

Yes. Many patients choose zirconia for the front teeth (visible) and ceramic for the back teeth. They save money while keeping top aesthetics in the visible areas. A recommended choice to optimise your budget.

What is needed for the final quote?

A recent 2D panoramic X-ray (orthopantomogram), which your local dentist can provide free of charge. On that basis our Lela Dental dentists confirm the list prices and flag any extras (e.g. bone grafts or sinus lifts if bone is insufficient).

Are the prices “all inclusive” or are there extras?

List prices include everything needed for standard treatment. Extras only for specific cases: bone graft (if bone is insufficient), sinus lift, complex extractions. Any extras are indicated in the quote before confirming the trip. No surprises during or after treatment.
