What Zirconia Is and Why Choose It
Zirconia is the most advanced dental material available today. Mechanical strength similar to titanium, aesthetics indistinguishable from natural teeth, biocompatible and stain-resistant.
Superior Aesthetics
Zirconia has translucency similar to natural enamel: light passes through the crowns just as it does in real teeth. The result is indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Maximum Strength
1,000 MPa flexural strength versus 350 MPa for traditional ceramic. Practically unbreakable in normal chewing, lasts 15-20 years without chipping.
Biocompatibility
100% biocompatible, hypoallergenic, releases no metals. Ideal for those with metal allergies or wanting to avoid the gum problems typical of old metal-ceramic prostheses.
Stain-Resistant
Zirconia's ultra-smooth surface does not absorb pigments: coffee, tea, red wine and smoke do not stain. Crowns stay white and bright for years.
How Much Zirconia Solutions Cost
Zirconia costs 60-70% more than traditional ceramic, but offers significant aesthetic and durability advantages. Here is the item-by-item price list.
| Solution | Ceramic alloy | Zirconia | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 single crown (on implant or tooth) | 110 € | 180 € | +70 € |
| Final arch 12 teeth per All on 4 | 1.250 € | 1.760 € | +510 € |
| Final arch 12 teeth per All on 6 | 1.300 € | 2.100 € | +800 € |
| Complete dental aesthetics (front group, ~10 teeth) | 1.480 € | 2.200 € | +720 € |
| Full ceramic veneer (on healthy tooth) | 250 € per veneer | — | |
Total Cost of a Full Zirconia Arch
The zirconia arch requires surgery (4 or 6 implants + temporary arch) + a final 12-tooth zirconia arch. The two items add up. Here are the 2 options in detail.

Zirconia Arch: Italy vs Albania
In Italy the same work costs 4-5 times more, mainly due to laboratory and specialist labour costs. The material and protocol are identical.
🇮🇹 Italia
All on 6 zirconia, single arch. Surgery + final arch.
🇦🇱 Albania (Lela Dental)
Same work: 6 gold-standard implants + 12 full-zirconia teeth + immediate-load temporary arch.
FAQ on the Zirconia Arch
Why does zirconia cost more?
The material (zirconium oxide) costs more than traditional ceramic, and processing requires dedicated CAD-CAM machines with special milling tools. The price difference is €70 per single crown, €510-800 per final 12-tooth arch. For many patients the difference is worth it, considering doubled aesthetics and durability.
Can I have zirconia at the front and ceramic at the back?
Yes, it is a very common choice, recommended to optimise your budget. Zirconia on the front teeth (visible) for top aesthetics; ceramic on the molars (not visible) for the lower price. Our dentists will suggest this combination if it makes sense for your case.
How many implants are needed for the zirconia arch?
4 (All on 4) or 6 (All on 6). Our dentists recommend 6 implants where bone is sufficient: they distribute forces better, are more stable and cost only €540 more for markedly superior stability. The choice depends on the CT scan.
Can I choose the colour of my teeth?
Yes. We start from the VITA scale (the most used in dentistry) to choose the most natural shade for your face. Our dentists recommend the best shade based on age, complexion and remaining teeth. Whiter “Hollywood smile” shades are also possible.
Does zirconia break?
Practically never under normal chewing conditions (1,000 MPa strength, nearly triple that of metal-ceramic). Breakages are very rare and usually linked to severe night grinding (for which the dentist can prescribe a protective night guard).
How long does the whole treatment take?
The complete journey (from first visit to final smile) takes 5-6 months: 5 days in Albania for the first trip (surgery + temporary arch), 4 months of osseointegration at home, 6 days in Albania for the second trip (final zirconia arch).
