FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 3D CT scan really included in the price?
Yes, always. It is the preparatory exam for implantology: we do it on arrival on the first trip, before surgery. No additional cost.
Can I use a CT scan done at home?
Yes, if it is recent (max 6-12 months) and of sufficient quality. But we often prefer to redo it in-clinic to have the complete file in our planning software.
How much radiation does it emit?
A modern 3D dental CT scan emits about 50-80 microsieverts, equivalent to a few hours of intercontinental flying. Far less than a medical CT scan.
Can I refuse the CT scan?
Technically yes, but we advise against it. Without a 3D CT scan implantology is less safe: the risk of injury and suboptimal placement increases.
